Bring the kids for a "Lunch & Learn" opportunity!
As Monarch butterflies are migrating through the area, we will welcome local author Pecki Witonski to share her book Monarch X-ING along with some butterly "show-and-tell." Kids will enjoy the talk along with lunch (grilled cheese, carrots, and cookie with milk). Please RSVP.
More about Pecki:
Pecki Sherman Witonsky has had a lifelong interest in the preservation of the environment and animals. From being the educational director of a nature center, to studying Rhesus monkeys in Nepal, to swimming with dolphins in Florida, and studying the majestic elephants of Kenya, she has gained enormous respect for the wonders of Mother Nature.
As a social activist who has spent her life studying mythology, culture and the environment, she has translated those teachings and her lifelong experience into the inspiring children's books MONARCH X-ING, CAVE OF RECONCILIATION and SAMANTHA MEETS SOME TWO-LEGS.
